What we do
Our approach is always meticulous and discrete. Each search is started afresh. Every relevant organisation examined. Every possible candidate investigated.
Research is rarely limited to direct competition, unless the specification demands it. Often we encourage searches across all sectors where transferable skills can be sought. It is a consultative approach where the search can be refined at any point during the recruitment process to deliver the required result.
Fraser Giles Partnership has the benefit of an in-house research team enabling us to deliver highly bespoke searches, remain constantly in touch with the market and source and track talent over a sustained period. We ensure coherence, confidentiality and comprehensive sectoral understanding is leveraged in each and every search.
Process
The first stage of an assignment involves a comprehensive face to face briefing meeting with the client and our Managing Partner, together with a member of our in-house research team. In our experience successful searches are based on a thorough understanding of the strategic, financial, cultural and operational needs of our clients. This initial briefing will also establish the potential target universe and the preferred method and frequency of ongoing assignment communication with the client.
From this meeting a comprehensive candidate briefing document is prepared. This can be fully branded or ‘blind’ entirely dependent on confidentiality requirements. The client retains full editorial sign-off of this document.
The research process then commences to map the relevant companies and sectors as agreed at the briefing. We utilise our network of contacts and sector knowledge to create a Long List of target candidates which is then presented to our client, offering the opportunity for discussion and input.
Our research team now enter the contact, verification and evaluation stage to ensure compatibility to the assignment. Interested parties are sent the briefing document to review (after having signed a confidentiality agreement where required) with weekly update reports being submitted to our client outlining our progress.
Selected candidates now enter our consultant interview process. Headed up by our Managing Partner, this process can involve anything up to three meetings and incorporate testing evaluation as required. Weekly update reports continue to be submitted detailing progress.
Our Shortlist of a maximum of four candidates is then selected and presented to our client.
The Managing Partner then collaborates with our client through their interview process handling all organisational requirements and providing swift communication and guidance to all parties. Final negotiations are then handled in a transparent and timely manner.
Following the appointment, Fraser Giles Partnership continues to show an active interest in the success of the placement.
